Dolphin Haddington After School Club
OSCARS have been operating the OSCARS @ Dolphin Out of School Club & Breakfast Club since August 2008. The club is based in the dining room at Haddington Infant School and can accommodate up to a maximum of 45 children.
We collect children from Haddington Infant School (P1 – P3), Kings Meadow Primary School (P4 – P7) and St. Mary’s Primary School (P1 – P7).
Although the emphasis is on fun and enjoyment, children are encouraged to join in activities and learn new skills – whilst making friends.
Care Inspectorate Registration Number: CS2008170524
Location
The After School Club and Breakfast Club are both located in the dining room at Haddington Infant School. Children attending the Breakfast Club are served breakfast before enjoying some activities, and then safely transferred to their respective schools.
For the After School Club, all children are collected from their schools before returning to the After School Club. All our staff wear OSCARS uniform (orange polo shirt and black fleece).

Activities & Timetable
The club offers a wide range of activities both on and off site. Following consultation with the children, our team of staff will meet regularly to plan and finalise a programme of activities.
The programme takes into account the time of year, incorporating special occasions and multi cultural celebrations. At regular intervals, the club will hold theme weeks. The activities offered always include arts and crafts, physical activities and imaginative play. The programme, which changes on a weekly basis, will be clearly displayed for all parents/carers/children to see.
Resources such as sports equipment, arts and crafts materials, board games, books, dressing up clothes and pretend play equipment are readily available on a daily basis.
Children attending the club receive a daily snack. The snack menu will be displayed at the club.
Occasionally, the children will enjoy an off site activity, such as a trip to a local park, cinema, bowling etc. Details of these activities will be communicated to parents/carers in advance.
