Glasgow Hutchesons Easter Camps

Our Glasgow camp operates from the prestigious Hutchesons’ Grammar School, located on the south side of the city. The school provides excellent facilities, with a large sports hall, playing fields, tennis courts, a dining hall, bistro, classrooms and an art room. Open to children aged 5-15, we offer a variety of sports, games, art and crafts. There’s never a dull moment at an OSCARS Camp!

Our Glasgow camp operates from the prestigious Hutchesons’ Grammar School, located on the south side of the city.The school provides excellent facilities, with a large sports hall, playing fields, tennis courts, a dining hall, bistro, classrooms and an art room. For swimming activities, children will be taken by minibus to the Gorbals Leisure Centre.
OSCARS@Hutchesons is open to children ages 5-15, and from any school. We offer a variety of organised activities to suit each age group. It’s a great chance for them to meet new friends or come along in a group. Our friendly qualified staff will ensure your children get the best out of their time at OSCARS.
At OSCARS we pride ourselves on our exemplary safety record.
Our childcare services are registered with the Care Inspectorate, therefore our premises, facilities and staff meet the regulations and standards associated with this registration.
Our premises are extremely secure to keep children safe and protected during their time with OSCARS.
All of our staff are trained in first aid to deal with any incidents that may occur while children are in our care.
Children are supervised by our trained staff at ratios of 1 adult to 8 children.

Our Easter camp is open from 8am to 6.30pm
It is important that children on Full Day or Half day mornings arrive before 9am to register and start their activities on time.
If booked in on a Half day, children can be collected anytime between 12.30 and 1.30pm, and if on a Half Day afternoon, dropped off between these times also.
During the day, mid-morning and mid-afternoon snacks are provided. Children do need to bring their own packed lunch, unless you wish to book an OSCARS hot 2 course lunch for £4.00.

Alongside organised games, art & crafts etc there will be free play activities availible throughout the day. Please note this is an sample programme and subject to change
Age groups and activity cards
Children are split into appropriate age groups and activities are chosen to suit each group. They will be sent home with an activity card each day to show what exciting things they have been up to!
What to bring
Make sure your child arrives suitably dressed for taking part in the activities:

- Waterproof Jacket
- Swimming Kit and towel
What not to bring
Children will take part in various fun activities throughout the day therefore we recommend they do not bring expensive items to the club, in case they get lost or damaged.

Edinburgh Zoo
Edinburgh Zoo is home to over 1000 wonderful animals. Residents include tigers, rhinos, chimpanzees, sun bears and the UK’s only koalas and Giant Pandas, plus don’t forget the world-famous Penguin Parade! With keeper talks, animal presentations and Hilltop Safari, there is something for everyone to enjoy at Edinburgh Zoo.
Ten Pin Bowling
An afternoon at the bowling alley is always a popular choice with children. Bowling is a great game for everyone no matter what age or experience of the game.
