Royal High is situated to the north of Edinburgh, and is one of the city’s best equipped Secondary Schools. Onsite facilities include a large sports hall, gymnasium, swimming pool, playing fields and Astroturf pitches, as well as the dining hall, classrooms we use as base rooms, and an art room.

OSCARS Easter Camp at Royal High is open to children ages 5-15, from any school. We offer a variety of organised activities to suit each age group. It’s a great chance for them to meet new friends or come along in a group. Our friendly qualified staff will ensure your children get the best out of their time at OSCARS.
At OSCARS we pride ourselves on our exemplary safety record.
Our childcare services are registered with the Care Inspectorate, therefore our premises, facilities and staff meet the regulations and standards associated with this registration.
Our premises are extremely secure to keep children safe and protected during their time with OSCARS.
All of our staff are trained in first aid to deal with any incidents that may occur while children are in our care.
Children are supervised by our trained staff at ratios of 1 adult to 8 children.

Our Easter camp is open from 8am to 6.15pm.
It is important that children on Full Day or Half day mornings arrive before 9am to register and start their activities on time.
If booked in on a Half day, children can be collected anytime between 12.30 and 1.30pm, and if on a Half Day afternoon, dropped off between these times also.
During the day, mid-morning and mid-afternoon snacks are provided, although children should bring their own packed lunch.

Alongside organised games, art and crafts etc, there will be free play activities available throughout the day. Please note this is an sample programme and subject to change.
Age groups and activity cards
Children are split into appropriate age groups and activities are chosen to suit each group. They will be sent home with an activity card each day to show what exciting things they have been up to!
What to bring
Make sure your child arrives suitably dressed for taking part in the activities:

- Waterproof Jacket
- Swimming Kit and towel
What not to bring
Children will take part in various fun activities throughout the day therefore we recommend they do not bring expensive items to the club, in case they get lost or damaged.

Deep Sea World
There’s a world of underwater adventure just waiting to be discovered at Deep Sea World. From Scottish waters, African lakes and Amazon rainforests to giant rockpools, mangroves and spectacular coral reefs, visitors are taken on a whistle-stop journey of discovery. The aquarium’s giant 4.8 million litre Underwater Safari display is home to three-metre-long sand tiger sharks and hundreds of other incredible marine creatures. The centre includes daily shark dive shows, outdoor seal pools and new Jaws feature.
Ten Pin Bowling
An afternoon at the bowling alley is always a popular choice with children. Bowling is a great game for everyone no matter what age or experience of the game.
