Summer Activity Programme Terms and Conditions

These are the terms and conditions governing bookings with OSCARS Out of School Scotland Ltd (hereinafter ‘Oscars’).

• The prices quoted for the Holiday Programmes are inclusive of all activities, staffing and mid morning and mid afternoon snacks.
• If a deposit is paid at the time of booking, the balance for all tickets is due on 1 March 2012 for the Easter Holiday Programmes and 1 June 2012 for the Summer Holiday Programmes. Any bookings made after these dates requires immediate full payment. OSCARS does not send reminders and reserves the right to cancel tickets and to charge the appropriate cancellation charges if payment is not received on the due date. All cancellations must be made in writing and will be confirmed in writing.
• Cancellations before your Holiday Programme start date are subject to the following charges:-  -Over 6 weeks before start date – Deposit only – 42-29 days before start date – 50% of total cost – 28-15 days before start date – 75% of total cost – Within 14 days before start date – 100% of total cost.
• A 3% charge applies for each credit card transaction and a £1.50 charge for each debit card transaction.
• Any alterations to your booking must be confirmed by e mail or in writing. OSCARS reserves the right to charge an administration fee of £10.
• OSCARS reserves the right to refuse or exclude any person, at any time prior to, or during the Holiday Programmes if, in the opinion of OSCARS, that person is incompatible with the general well being and safe running of the Holiday Programmes. In this instance no refund will be given and any costs incurred, including any damage, will be passed onto the parents/guardians. Parents/guardians will be responsible for the collection of the person or for all transport costs in connection with that person returning to their home address.
• Arrangements and courses outlined are given in good faith at the time of writing. However, these may be subject to change for reasons of safety, unsuitable weather conditions, or other factors which may arise beyond our control. In the very unlikely event that OSCARS has to cancel a programme, you will be given the option of transferring to another site or to another week, or receiving a full refund. When all monies are refunded, OSCARS’ liability shall cease.
• Should you have any concerns regarding your child’s time at OSCARS, please in the first instance speak with the Centre Manager. If you are not satisfied with the response or action taken, please then telephone OSCARS Head Office and speak with the Operations team whilst your child is still at the Holiday Programme. Should you wish to contact OSCARS with any concerns after your child has attended the Holiday Programme, please do this in writing within 72 hours of their final day of attendance. OSCARS will investigate all concerns and respond within ten working days.
• When children attend the Holiday Programmes, it is automatically assumed that they are allowed to participate in offsite activities. OSCARS also reserves the right to combine age groups.
• The personal information requested on our Booking form, Medical form and Signature form is required to allow our employees, agents, subcontractors, and suppliers to accept the booked Holiday Programme. The information will not be divulged to any person or persons unconnected with the Holiday Programme arrangements without your express permission. When children attend the Holiday Programmes it is automatically assumed that pictures and video taken of them participating in activities can be used in future marketing material.
• OSCARS does not accept liability for personal injury or death of any participant unless caused by the proven negligence of OSCARS or its servants. OSCARS does not accept liability for the loss or damage of any property belonging to participants. OSCARS accepts no responsibility for losses or additional expenses in the event of cancellation or change due to delays in travel services, strikes, disasters, war or the threat of war, acts of terrorism, quarantine, weather, sickness or any event outside the control of the company.
• The website is the responsibility of OSCARS and the details are published in good faith as of February 2012. It is not issued on behalf of the schools herein. Any reproduction of the website or any related literature is prohibited without the permission of OSCARS.
