At OSCARS we take our responsibilities extremely seriously.

All aspects of risk are considered, including risk benefits, and quite simply we insist on the highest standards.

Our locations and facilities have been carefully chosen with safety as a prime consideration. Risk assessments are carried out weekly and daily for every aspect of the services that we offer.

Our services are registered with The Care Inspectorate where appropriate.

The skill and enthusiasm of our staff is one of the main ingredients of our success over the past 28 years.

OSCARS ensure they are appropriately qualified as stipulated by the relevant regulatory bodies.

All staff undertake:

• a detailed recruitment process
• a theoretical and practical orientation
• regular training and development

They have many years of experience of operating stimulating programmes and delivering high-quality services.

Our holiday programme staff teams are a mix of childcare professionals, graduate and undergraduate teachers.

All staff go through a rigorous recruitment process including full Disclosure check via the PVG (Protection of Vulnerable Groups) membership scheme and no member of staff works with children in our care until they are cleared to do so by the relevant authorities.  Nothing matters more to us than the safety and well being of all children in our care.

As well as teaching professionals, we welcome people who have specific artistic or sporting skills and qualifications.

Their ability to relate to and motivate children and teenagers is second to none.

Ratios vary according to the age and size of groups but never exceed an average of 8 children for any staff member.
